TOD KLEHR

Keyboards, Vocals

A little background on the big guy…He’s been playing keyboards since he was 8 years old. He is classically trained, but through the years developed his own style of music…kinda jazzy, kinda bluesy, with definite rock inspirations. He’s played in so many bands throughout the years it’s too hard to count, but nearly all of them included a brother or two, as his large Chicago family is full of musicians. Singing, songwriting and playing an instrument is in the Klehr blood. He even served a “Tour of Duty” playing for our troops in Viet Nam with the USO.

Now comes the good part…back in 1991 he found The Lord Jesus Christ. At that time, he became overloaded with songs for the Lord and many of the songs on this CD were written during this period. He made a decision to put an end to all secular songwriting and playing in secular venues. His music from then on out has been solely for the Lord and His Glory.

RICK SUTTON

Electric Guitar, Bass, Vocals

Rick is a self-taught musician who began playing electric guitar at around age 10. His brothers both had right-handed guitars and Rick would "borrow" them to practice with. However, Rick is left-handed so this created his unique style of playing upside down and backwards.

He has been playing in church for most of his life, and for two years played with Rick Founds of Calvary Chapel, Capistrano Beach. He played at the Chicago Solid Rock church in 2005 and also with Mike Macintosh of Horizon Church in San Diego (where he met Leif). In addition to his incredible talent, he was also a music teacher for Junior High and High School students at Horizon, as well as a worship leader and pianist. He is also a gifted songwriter and vocalist as many have heard when he performs his song, "God of Mercy Blues."

Rick came to Celebrate Recovery at Cornerstone Community Church in 2006 and has been a phenomenal addition to the CR Worship Team. Not only has he faithfully served at CR, but all other venues as well.

Rick's immeasurable talents added a high-level of excellence to the production of the "Die To Live" CD and brought flavor and substance to the music.

LEIF SWANSON

Acoustic Guitar, Vocals

Leif's interest in music began at an early age and his father was instrumental in teaching him how to play the guitar. He's been playing acoustic guitar and singing since childhood and he writes music as well.

He has a special talent for the technical side of the music industry and was the head audio engineer for Calvary Chapel, Pt. Loma. This church holds a special place in his heart, as this is where he came to know Jesus Christ and was saved. He also was head audio engineer at Horizon Church in San Diego, where he first met Rick Sutton.

He started coming to Celebrate Recovery at Cornerstone Community Church in January 2007 and has faithfully served as part of the CR Band ever since. His talent and expertise in all areas of music have been a huge blessing to Tod and the CR Worship Team and he is now a worship leader who serves at all venues, including Alternative, Small Church and both Baxter and Temecula campuses.

His contribution to the "Die To Live" CD has been extraordinary and his hard work was instrumental in producing a high-quality recording.

GREG LOVOY

Drums

Greg Lovoy first began taking drum lessons at around age 9. Not only is he a drummer, but he plays piano by ear and the acoustic guitar as well. His love of music inspired him to take his talent and pass it on to others and he offered private drum lessons to many students in the Southern California area.

He has played with various bands throughout the years, starting in the 9th grade. He gravitated to Christian music and started playing with a 9-piece band (“The Latter Reign”) which featured the saxophone and four singers. This band did some recording that was produced by John Elephante. He has also played for many years with Calvary Chapel Santa Ana and Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa.

He came to Cornerstone in November of 2006 and on his 2nd or 3rd visit, one of the leaders said, “Hey, Greg…I’ve heard that you play drums. Our drummer couldn’t make it, so could you play tonight?” So, with no rehearsal and not knowing Tod or any other band members, he hopped right up and played as if he had been part of the band for years. This is a testament to his fine musicianship and his talent was a huge contribution to the “Die To Live” recording. Greg faithfully serves at all Cornerstone venues.

**Special note to the boys in the band…We are so grateful to you guys for so generously giving of your time and talents to the recording of our CD, and we hope you’ll hang around with us for the next one, too. These songs would not have been the same without you. We love you guys!**

Although Leif, Rick and Greg were the only “Believers” in the recording studio, Tod has also been blessed with many other talented musicians to work with onstage at Celebrate Recovery. These other “Believers” are so appreciated for their talents and dedication to this important music ministry. God is smiling on all of you.
